Our Story
As a recent bride, I remember the overwhelming world of wedding planning all too well (yes, that was a Taylor Swift reference). I began planning our wedding 26 months in advance and was shocked when I experienced overbooked vendors, outrageous minimum spending requirements, and communication that felt a lot like junior high dating. It was in these moments of stress while wedding planning that I realized I wanted wedding vendors that made wedding planning easy and fun so l decided to become just that.
My family has owned a successful landscaping business for 20-plus years. So, being surrounded by lush gardens and making floral arrangements is nothing new to me! The gap in the market was the push I needed to grow and design my wedding florals. And now, I get to do it for you!
Grown & harvested with care
We're proud to provide locally grown eco-conscious florals to Northern Michigan. We want our customers to experience the beauty of nature without the environmental impact. Our creations emphasize florals sourced directly from our no-till flower farm as much as possible. This approach preserves the integrity of the land and promotes soil health while supporting pollinators and minimizing our carbon footprint. Unfortunately, the global fresh flower industry is massively damaging to our climate. Most perishables are transported by ship but flowers typically take a long plane ride before they are arranged in single-use plastics.
By supporting us, you're getting beautiful blooms and contributing to a healthier environment.
Let’s Celebrate
Here at Petals & Prosecco, we love to celebrate life. And we would argue that nearly all celebrations pair perfectly with a glass of bubbly. In the realm of sparkling wines, Prosecco stands out as the accessible, down-to-earth choice. Prosecco is considered the "champagne for the common people," ready to be enjoyed by all. This is how we feel about our flowers that compliment everyday moments and special occasions alike, with any budget in mind. So whether you're toasting to your big day, the mom who deserves to treat herself or simply want fresh blooms in your office to boost your productivity, grab a glass of bubbly and let's chat flowers and life.
Unless you count my first garden, this is my third year growing a dedicated cut flower garden. At four years of age, I was more than pleased with myself after having cut the tops off of several of my mother's flowers before sticking them in fresh dirt to propagate MY garden. Unfortunately, she didn't see the vision and wasn't nearly as excited as I was about the one-inch stems so we tabled the idea for a few decades. My inner child and I can't wait for you to get your hands on our flowers!
